On February 6 the Department of Software Engineering received a certificate of recognition from the National Research, Development, and Innovation Office (NDRI). The Department’s research into the Internet of Living Things (IoLT) received recognition as an emerging research infrastructure in Hungary in terms of its scientific performance and international collaboration.

The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) held an Ideathon within the frame of a joint research project between Japanese and European universities to create sustainable and accessible public transportation. Dr. Attila Kertész took part in the event on behalf of our university as the European PI.

The team of Dr. Attila Kertész has been chosen to participate in the upcoming joint call of EIG CONCERT Japan for Carbon-Neutral Cities.
The six research projects selected for funding are to commence in the first half of 2024 and be funded for a period of three years.

Members of the IoTCloud research group at the Department of Software Engineering have published a paper titled "Block the Chain: Software Weapons of Fighting Against COVID-19" in the IEEE Computer Q1 journal related to the final results of the FogBlock4Trust sub-grant project of the TruBlo EU H2020 project.

Dr. Vilmos Bilicki’s Inclouded team has recently launched their peripheral vascular monitoring project, PERIPHERAL with 2 patients.
The team has developed a system that, through smart devices connected by the cloud, can help doctors more effectively monitor their patients without them even needing to set foot in the clinic.
